Govani, Shail M., MD, MSc

Dr. Shail Govani joined Ohio Gastroenterology Group in July 2019. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas in 2006. He went on to complete his internal medicine residency training and gastroenterology fellowship at University of Michigan. In 2014, he joined the faculty of the University of Michigan and the VA Hospital in Ann Arbor. In 2017, Dr. Govani relocated to Texas to join the staff at the South Texas VA Clinic and UT Health San Antonio. He has a special interest in treating patients with IBS, Crohn’s Disease and Colitis. He is an active member of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation at the national and regional level, working to improve the care of patients living with IBD.
