Mihir R Bakhru, MD

Dr. Mihir Bakhru joined Ohio Gastroenterology Group in 2012 upon completing an Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy fellowship program at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Through this program he gained expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic pancreato-biliary procedures including cancer staging using ERCP and Endoscopic Ultrasound. The additional year also gave Dr. Bakhru special training in balloon enteroscopy, endoscopic mucosal resection, therapy for Barrett’s esophagus including radiofrequency ablation, among other complex endoscopic procedures. Dr. Bakhru has earned numerous research and clinical awards including the ACG Governor’s Auxiliary Award, Houston award for Distinguished Fellow of Excellence and Distinguished Clinical Educator. Dr. Bakhru has many interests, which include esophageal, biliary and pancreatic disease.
