All procedures will result in multiple bills.

Bills payable to Central Ohio Endoscopy Center are from our ambulatory surgery centers and include items such as facility fees for performing a procedure in one of our ambulatory surgery centers.

Bills payable to Ohio Gastroenterology Group, Inc. are from our clinics and include professional services such as an Office Visit, Infusion, Anesthesia, Pathology, and other administrative fees.

If you had a procedure performed at a hospital, you may receive additional bills from them.

Step one is to contact your insurance and find out what they cover and if you have a deductible or co-pay. Some insurance websites have cost calculators that allow you to enter information and get an estimate.

Our medical staff and procedures are covered by many insurances including Blue Cross Blue Shield (as well as Anthem BCBS), UnitedHealthcare, OhioHealth, Medical Mutual, Aetna, Medicare, and Medicaid. But we do recommend contacting your insurance provider to make sure they cover the medical professional you’d like to see or procedure you’re having.

Any diagnosis code your doctor documents in your medical file, is legal and binding. It can’t be later changed to improve your insurance coverage. This is considered insurance fraud and punishable by law.

If your procedure requires prior authorization, our billing department will take care of it. However, if you have questions about your benefits, it’s best to check with your insurance company.

If you’d like to pay for a copy of your medical records with a credit card, call our billing department at 614-457-4220.
